The Counselling Center of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has organized a Psychoeducational Seminar for first-year KNUST students on Thursday, 3rd February 2022 at the Great Hall. The program was organized to equip the first-year students with the prerequisite psycho-social support to adjust to school life and enhance their learning skills.
Mrs. Victoria De-Graft Adjei, the Head of KNUST Counselling Center (KCC), expressed her delight with the turnout and congratulated the freshmen on their admission to KNUST in her welcome address. The KCC was founded because the mental health of students is extremely important to the Management of KNUST. She added that the Counselling Centre is there to help freshmen adjust intellectually, socially, emotionally, and mentally.
